Does anyone else here like and play Lounge and Exotica music?
There's something about that stuff which just makes this picker's soul purr. Lounge and exotica is usually quite precise and at the same time forgiving, lending itself to improv and long fills. Great music to just medley-ize and play idly on the sofa.
Lounge and Exotica, anyone?

Yes! I like it, but I especially like smooth jazz, or, as my friends call it, elevator music. that is what I keep the stereo on 24-7.

Thank you. For smooth Jazz on a Mk I, what is your fave amp and setting?
Personally, 'mostly use a Line 6 Vetta I HD / 412 Slant on the '58 Bassman and '65 Deluxe Reverb models. Oh, and .011 flats.

+2 on that - I like it. I've always admired those players who can play "clean" - and still grab your attention without a lot of flash. Elevator music, jazz, improv, acoustic fingerstyle - clean, soothing sounds ...
So many guitars; So little time ..

Couple of days ago, 'just finger-rambled for almost an hour on variations and fantasies on "Moonlight Serenade," Mk I and old Line 6 Vetta I HD / 412 slant on "Fender '58 Bassman" model.
Last weekend, it was a few hours of tasteless lowbrow Polynesian pop.
What a source of joy!
