Handbrake, have you seen the one on TYM's website that looks like yours? It is serial number 2DL094 and he has it listed as a 1974. If I'm reading your serial number correctly then his is just 44 later than yours. Is that correct? Would you mind posting more pictures such as the back, sides, etc? I find it interesting that the strap pin on mine is located directly under the neck joint and most of the ones I see it is located on the bouts cutaway horn.
thanks, Sarah

Hi Sarah,
I used Tym's as a model for reassembling mine. As noted earlier, mine was missing original pickups and wiring. I looked high and low for a pair of humbuckers like his. I settled on a pair of 70s flat face p'ups that sound great. I'll certainly post some other pics.

Handbrake, that archtop is a beautiful color. And, though I am Mac to the bone, our college supplies us with BlackBerries, and the photos from a BlackBerry do not compare to what an iPhone can do.
No need to apologize for those pics!
I am trying to snag a Celebrity from a gentleman who has a few of them. I just love the necks on those guitars, especially the microfrets.

I was thinking the same Jim, those are very good pictures ...doing justice to the subject in them. (or should I say "object"
)

Thank for the kind words. I've strung it with flatwounds (a first for me, but everything's pretty new since I've been playing for about a year) and it's turned into a first class instrument.

Lovely archtop. Thank you for sharing.
Does it sound more like a Mk I, ES-335, 6120 or Ric?

Truthfully, I've never played any of those venerable instruments and don't know enough about guitars in general to offer a comparison. I think I received a veiled challenge from ElTwang to commit some sights and sounds to YouTube. If I can accomplish that, maybe you can draw your own conclusions.
