Re: THE JONAS RIDGE SHOPS AS THEY WERE IN 2006-7 ON A TRIP THERE

Elaine, that is a haunting photo and your words are perfect for it.

As for the burial ground, I would appreciate you showing it to us.

Many here met Semie, but I never did. The only knowledge I have is what folks have told me and what I've read. To me, he seems like a joyful person who had a lot of tough things to overcome.

Funny, the weather here in DC today-- Veteran's Day-- looks much like your photo. And you, a veteran of a different kind, have been nice enough to share.

Thanks, Elaine.

I live about 45 minutes from there. Someday I'd like to take a bike ride up there just to see it. As long as I don't intrude on somebody's property that is.

Respectfully Submitted, A Wider View Of The Grave Site Surrounding Area In
The Jonas Ridge Area Of North Carolina. This Site Is Not Near The House. You
Have To Drive A Short Distance From Where Semie And Loreta Lived. It is On
Grounds That Loretta's Family Owns. The Cemetery Is Surrounded By A Fenced
In Area. If I Turned Around 180 Degree's You Would Be Looking Over A VAlley With
The Mountains As A Background.

May GOD Bless This Man Of Faith Who GOD Blessed With Such Gift's.

Thank you Elaine. I can't find the right words to express it but both grave markers in all their simplicity are most powerful.

Thank you Elaine for sharing your photos. They are indeed touching. They help those of us who never got to meet him to feel just a little bit closer to Semie, the man. God bless you.
