Interesting serial number

Postby Sarah93003 » Thu Dec 24, 2009 7:43 am

In my recent quest to get a Celebrity 12 string I've run across two and interestingly the both start with "W" for the serial number, which is not listed on Tym's site as a 12 string series. That's probably fine considering there were probably not that many 12 string Celebrities made, etc. The most recent example I've come in contact with has an interesting addition. It is serial number W0237 placed in the usual spot on the fretboard, but then right beneath in is the letter "V" in a larger stamp size. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Do you think this may have been added later by the owner. I certain that it was like that when the current owner came into possession of it. Any thoughts?

Cool guitar! How does it play and sound? It looks like the low E string pair are almost hanging off the edge of the fretboard, but that could just be the camera angle.
