Any one like Gene Watson?

Postby sleeperNY » Mon Dec 28, 2009 8:06 pm

Here is one of his best songs as far as I'm concerned. Not by him but by my band from Sunday afternoon..

Dang, Jim; that was beautiful. Boy howdy!!!

I love the sound of your band; that is what we were-- or at least I was-- going for with the Ride With Hank band I was most recently in.

I'm not familiar with Gene Watson, but, based upon that song, I'll spend some time checking him out tomorrow.

Thanks!

Gene is one of my favorites. I know "Farewell Party" was probably his biggest tune but "Pick the Wildwood Flower" was his best for me;

I have always loved Gene Watson's music. He has a great many great songs out there. I must confess that even though this is a Mosrite forum I didn't use my Mosrite on this song. It was a Gretsch 6122-59 C.G. Front pickup only, the one with the blades on it instead of the adj. screws.
