I like how these Celebrities sound even unplugged. They are a great guitar to just sit around and plunk on.
There was a guy on eBay a few years ago selling new cases shaped like that Vox one but with a gray interior, and I bought a couple.
Very handy and they stand out in a crowd.

Yes, the way the Pickups set up on this guitar is interesting. The neck PU gives it very clean / acoustic sound (almost good for blue grass flat picking) and the bridge PU gives a very hot / twangy sound (perfect for The Ventures' Secret Agent Man etc.)

Thanks, Mel. I hope to see you on 1/16. Working on trip plan with the "Boss"...

If not, good luck with your show. I am sure it will be a great one!

Thanks, Sarah. It's K0111
BTW, the photos you post are beautiful. I like both of them. You look as cool as the guitar. (and the sunset or ocean are beautiful too)
Actually you were the one who inspired me to get a Celebrity. So many thanks.
P.S. I love Gretsch too.
Thank you very much! Jeez, I'm blushing!! My roommate and I walk the dogs along that beach quite often and the sunsets are beautiful. Thank you for the serial number. I've added your beautiful guitar to my growing list of Celebrities. I'm so flattered you were inspired to get her. I truly think the Mosrite Celebrity is an exquisite hollowbody design.
I know a lot of people say a bolt on neck is totally wrong for a hollowbody but I disagree. I have Gretsch and Guild hollowbodys and my Celebrity is at the top. Don't get me wrong, I do love my bamboo yellow Gretsch Anniversary with TV Jones pickups. But when it comes to gigging around town, I take the Annie and the Celebrity and they get equal play. Life is good!

Good eyes! Yeah, I put in there as the case is a little too big for the guitar. It stops the movement when I carry it.
That's a great idea!

Gosh, thank you Jim! I totally agree on the unplugged thing. When I'm sitting at the computer and writing a song, my Celebrity is the one I grab. I am lucky to have several very fine guitars, but I always reach for the Celeb.

Hey, I'm going to be around that weekend as well. We should all try to get together somehow and have a little jam. I know Elaine would like to meet as many of us as we can gather. Just a thought!

That's another incentive to go, but the Boss probably would care less...

Maybe I will run away from home for a week or so.. Will start the fight tonight

But be warned, I am a good listener & watcher but not a good player at all...

I have 2 young kids. I work pretty much all day & I don't live in the Taj Mahal. I like to play at night after they go to sleep. I usually play my Celebrity because I still get an acoustic sound out of it, but at less than half the volume. If I play my Martin acoustc, it could be a little too loud, If I play an electric unplugged..well, that's just silly.

Exactly. We Mostritians are nothing if not a courteous bunch, and we go out of our way to be considerate to our families.
We even go so far as to buy additional guitars, not because we want them, but we know that they will be less disturbing to others in our homes.
HAH! All kidding aside, it is nice to be able to play a Celebrity unamped. I, too, live in a very small house, and the Martins are just too loud to play late at night.
They can't help it; they're made that way!

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
You are so right...I purchased my Celebrity out of love for my family. I've known that I'm a good father, but now I know just how far I'll go to protect them. I'll even go through with a selfless act as to buy a Mosrite Celebrity just so they can be well rested.
WOW! What a great guy I am.
