Do any of you use it?

I've signed up, posted a few photo's and have had several contacts requesting to be added as a friend. I'm not sure how all this works as it's quite different than posting on a forum. I'm on there as Danny Ellison. Check it out and tell me if you find anything by me. I'm in the dark on this one.

Hey Danny,

I have it but I don't do much with it. Mostly I have photos up for family members who are very in to it. I guess it's the next step from MySpace.

It seems that every musician in Bakersfield is on Facebook. I was contacted and asked to join, so I did. Now that I'm on there I don't have a clue if anything I'm posting or commenting on is going anywhere but into my own file. I've tried the info section but that's like trying to read the instruction to a remote control in a foreign language. I'd like to get operational as it is an excellent contact point to team up with other local musicians.

Would you believe I don't have a Facebook account or a cell phone? I do have a Twitter account but I only made it to vote for someone in a video awards thing.

Like MySpace, Facebook is a great way of keeping in contact with friends, family and for bands it is useful tool to have fans of your group keep track of gigs and up to the minute news.

Unfortunately Facebook decided to cancel our account without warning or explanation. The only thing we could think of was there was a picture of one of our burlesque dancers, topless. But she had very conservative pasties on and you would have had to go through a lot of photos to find it. Nevertheless we lost all our fan information due to someone throwing the chicken switch without even giving us the courtesy of a warning.

Lucky for us we still keep our website and MySpace pages updated so we didn't lose that much.

I forgot to also mention it is useful when record labels like Sundazed and Numero Group have Facebook pages so that way you know what's coming out.

Sarah, let me know your handle so I can friend you.

Can anyone advise if they can access the photo's I've posted? Also if can access them, how did you find them?

I don't want to put up any more photo's if no one can see them.
