In this first photo you see the beginning of the bridge base. Fortunately I obtain the string post and screws from Ed Elliot, so that was one less thing to have to fabricate. The base is made from 7/8" channel aluminum. I made a total of four before I was satisfied with everything. I used measurements from an original Mosrite bridge base for all the measurements, but found I needed to modify them slightly to get everything, and especially the strings located at the right distance from the edge of the fretboard. Once everything is done I will polish the bridge and tail piece on a high speed buffer, making it look like chrome.

The tail piece was made from a little heavier gauge aluminum angle stock. I used a piece of walnut for the wood insert.

Here I have drilled the holes for the post anchors an am locating the position of the tail piece. The neck and pickup's are already installed. It's a domino effect going down the line installing the various parts.

Everything is in place. Right after taking this photo I finished mounting the tail piece. Next up, I will mount the tuning keyes and cut out a pickguard. BTW, the bridge post anchors are not pushed all the way down in this pic.
