Famed Mosrite Collecter Stops by the Shop

Postby EFElliott » Tue Mar 16, 2010 4:23 am

Dr. Michael Marks from Nashville came by and spent the day with me at the shop this past week. We spent the day talking about Mosrites (it was a good day).
Dr. Marks has been a customer of mine for a long time, Andy Moseley sent him my way years ago.
Michael had over 250 Mosrites at one time, I think he's thinned the hurd down some, check out his website http://home.insightbb.com/~marksma/wsb/ ... 70221.html
I've had one of Michael's Original '59 Joe Maphis model in for restoration , That's the guitar I used for a patteren guitar for my '59 models. here's a photo of Me and Michael and a couple of 59s.

That must have been a fun visit. His website is a valuable resource - that's where I found the schematic for my VIII. If you have a chance, ask him if he's got any other pictures of his guitars to share.

Interesting tidbits in the workshop - looks like a dozen or so bodies on the rack to the left, and do I see a three pickup RS DeLuxe on the right?
Oy vey - it's MESHUGGA BEACH PARTY - The world's premier Jewish Surf Music Band!

What? Couldn't tell the logo is a link? So click here, what's the hold up? http://www.meshuggabeachparty.com

Hey guy's, before we get off topic, let's keep discussions about clones in the proper section of the forum.

Thanks! Danny

Ed,

Is there any chance you could encourage Dr. Marks to join our forum?

Well, I don't want Dr. Marks to be jealous of the Celebrities that Sarah and I have if he joins the forum.
