Hay Dubtrub, Thanks for the complement on the guitar. Yeah deffinetly different. There's certainly alot of figureing to be done, Seems like you have to be a couple of steps ahead of one's self,on the layout work, and planning. I guess its like everything else, once you do one and get your feet wet, the next one is a little easier, and you don't make the same mistakes again, just different ones.

Your Stratocarver is looking swell woodchuck! What a special beast...the headstock definitely has the "wow factor". I wish I was that handy myself. What/who's pickups have you selected to go in?
As one of the options, I was thinking of Raygun85’s pickup he made to suite a Strat-type guitar but have it sound like the Mosrite

We call it the "Charlatan". We decreased the thickness of the maple core in the bobbin to make room for the extra wire. The coil itself is the same size all the way around as it is in our RH-100. We also kept the bobbin to the same height. So the coil is also shallow like you would find in our RH-100 or a Mosrite pickup. But its more compact. We also used thin Alnico 5 bar magnets with an opposing field (just like the RH-100/Mosrite pickup) and adjustable phillips pole-pieces. It peaks around 10.1K ohms. It has the hot a fat tone that you would expect from a Mosrite pickup. It even has the aluminum mounting bar on the bottom! If you want the Mosrite tone in a Strat then you now have the option...

Holy Mollusk! That is VERY attractive, with the blue against the blonde wood!
Gorgeous!
You should be very proud of yourself.

Nice! That blue really looks good - and the German carve on a strat body sets it apart. Good work!

Re: new project half bread guitar
Hi Jim thanks, when I painted it I deffinately ha doubts in my mind. After the clear was on the doubts some what faded. Had to hand rube it out, I had a wheel for buffing but it one of those you would use on a car, and no way to hold both. After I was done I realized i should have put a silver metalic base coat before the blue, and the blue would have really poped, next time rite? Glad you like it.
