$1845 was a fair price (apparently) - I was keeping an eye on this one o see for how much it would finally sell ... Unless you're just wanting a vintage Mo, you might check out some of the new guitars being made and/or sold by forum members ... you might find yourself happily surprised by what you can get.

But I see other same era's Ventures that sell for $4500. What's the difference then?

Yes, I'd lean towards a vintage one, but I'm pretty open to see what's available out there and hear everybody's opinion.
Where can I see the guitars sold by forum members? Do you guys like the new japanese Mosrite? They don't look bad, do they?

A vintage USA Mosrite of the 60's will cost ya and so will the Japanese Mosrites. The Japanese are excellent luthiers; some of the makers are: "Fillmore" and "Kurokomo". Both USA and Japanese Mosrites often appear on ebay. There are some good clones around and if you want a 'quick fix' like I needed in 2008, I discoverd Hallmark Guitars and I'm still very happy with my "Three Tone Burst" (Sunburst) Hallmark 60 Custom ;)

A welcome from here in the UK too Mat ! It's a good journey to be on , the process of trying to buy a 66 Ventures model Mosrite, sometimes the journey is as good as the arrriving if you know what i mean !

Paul has put up all the good links :-)

I finally bought a Mosrite Ranger ( Fillmore) from an online store in Japan . Really good value for the money. But all the links Paul put up there end up in good quality guitars. In the UK my options were much more limited than there in the USA , so many more choices for you to make, some of the original 64 models I've watched sell online have been quite an eye-opener pricewise . I learned about Ed Roman too here :-)

The patience of a Bushmaster may be required, but I'm sure your pursuit of that 66 Mo' will be enjoyable , especially meeting all the good folks on this board !

Cheers juan

Hi Paul,
I think the link isn't working.
I can't explain it 'not working' but it sure does exist!
...anyway, it's simply the Forum's ebay and Craiglist section :D

Good luck!
