Re: Celebrity Roll Call
Gosh, you all are just so thoughtful, caring and protective. It is such a joy to see men sacrifice themselves to that degree for their families. Why can't I meet a guy like that? I'll have to snap up as many Celebrities as I can so you don't have to go on being the martyr.

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
Well, Sarah, nobility such as that possessed by GTSP and me is not all that common, though I have noticed that there is a high percentage on this particular forum.
Before both of my marriages I looked around for eligible women who already owned guitars and had the other attributes that I considered essential in a mate, but the search was in vain. It was a rather large disappointment to me, but-- again, nobility is involved here, as well-- I swallowed my feelings and bestowed myself upon the women I married in spite of them not owning any instruments at all.
My original intention was to make bass players of both of them, or at least drummers, but that was not to be, as it turned out.
So it goes.

At least you tried! I keep telling my friends I just don't understand why I can find a guy who likes guitars, motorcycles, and camping. You would think that would be easy, but the ones I do run across are either the wrong age group (and I ain't that picky!) or for some reason I intimidate them. Don't get that. The last one was fun for a while until I discovered he liked to flirt with other women and was a bit of a control freak. He actually wanted to tell me I couldn't afford more guitars. I think he just didn't understand my retirement plan.

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
Sarah, you may need to attend the NAMM show in LA in a couple of weeks and check out the eligible fellows there!!! If you find a guy walking through the guitar booths, wearing an H-D belt buckle and LL Bean boots, your search may be over!!!

I'm planning on attending the NAAM show as well as Deke's Guitar Fest. I'm waiting to hear from a couple of people on how to get into the show. I'm not going to check out every guy's belt buckle though, I might get kicked out for that!

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
My that CE 3 brings back some memories. I spent some quality time with her and she made me a pretty good guitar player. Wow it is great to see these pics on here.

First of all you have a cel. 2 --c3s did not come from the factory with a vibrato--as to the label--some did differ-- it depended on which employee and when they were put in--The strap button was pit at the neck to balance the guitar because of the extra weight of the vibrato--good luck with your list---Andy
Hi Andy and welcome to the forum. According to my research mine is a Celebrity III - Mark I; and the vibrato was an optional item. The Celebrity II had chrome tuning keys and the Celebrity had the white plastic tuning keys. I've attached some Mosrite literature that shows the Celebrity III with the vibrato and the specification sheet shows it as optional equipment.
Let me know what ya'll think.

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
Sarah, there are men out there with the same interests as you. When you aren't looking he will most likely turn up. I have been playing guitar for over 40 years and used to race Speedway motorcycles and logged many miles on the highway with a Goldwing. I also did a lot of pre 1840 camping. I have been married for just over 35 years (as of the 10th of may) and she also playes guitar and singes in the band with me. Don't give up.

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
Thanks Jim. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm dating a guy (named Jim) who seems to tolerate my passion fairly well. He has passions that I support so it's good. His passions take him away on the weekend so I don't see him as often as I would like, but we'll see how that goes!
He doesn't ride motorcycles but he seems happy to be the support vehicle so that works out well. He doesn't seem to mind going into every music store I see. He's a photographer and scriptwriter so I support his needs. We'll see!
