Yeah, Mel, I have a Tele bridge and have considered it but the bridge saddle are still too wide thus causing an off balance effect of the appearance. Those original bridges on eBay would be my best option. The one I ordered from Fender is virtually the same as the original minus the ears along the side to hold the cover in place. Also the saddles are smooth as opposed to the threaded on the original. Never fear, I will figure something out, but the one I ordered would be just fine if they would send it. Before I started this project I had Guitar Center contact Fender for availability and was told they were going to produce a batch the first week of June, so I waited till June to order. I'll get with them in a day or two and have them recheck.
A note of interest. I recently learned that Scottsdale Arizona is where they fabricated the pickguards and metal parts for all Fender guitars.

Re: Fender Duo Sonic
well I know what you are going through Danny I been there, and man-o-man is it frustrating. The thing is fender will fill the orders based on the time someone makes a request, so for example if they were behind, which they always seem to be, they could be now just making a batch to fill orders that was taken back in January. I figure there's probably not a ton of request for these bridges so maybe it's not that bad, but it got to be that way on the mustang, which is why I just gave up and began looking in stores that carried fender parts and places like ebay. hope you have some luck soon, if I find one here locally I'll pick it up for ya and let you know. good luck.
Cheers,
Aaron

Finally I got an original bridge assembly off eBay, so I'll start working on it again soon. I've got three other guitar projects going so it may be a while before I finish it. Hope to string it up and play it in a day or so.

Glad that you found the right bridge. Any hints on these other projects you're working on?

Hehehehe! Just a couple of partsocasters, no custom builds for a while. However I do have enough material and parts to squeeze out one or two more Mosrite clones. It won't be standard Mark 1 style though. With six amps, reverb tank and 17 guitars I've accumulated over the years, I may have to turn the guest bedroom into a display room. Hope you don't mind sleeping on the floor.

Ha! Let that be the worst of my problems! If I were to throw down the guantlet for a Mosrite project, I'd say build a three pickup Combo model. Just saying...

OK, but you'll have to share the floor with my Cocker Spaniel.

Deal! I love Cocker Spaniels. All dogs really. Oh, and cats, and birds, and snakes, and lizards, and tropical fish, and.....
no spiders though!
