NOKIE A 62-63 VENTURE MODEL & ELAINE COME TOGETHER @ CAAS

Postby EF@MosriteRecords » Sun Jul 11, 2010 7:36 pm

Hi ya all from Nashville. Missed you. Had a great time at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society meeting here 7/7-10/2010. Great time visiting with Doug Brewer. I took the 62-63 Venture Model Mosrite that I presented here some months back to the show on Sat. the 10th. It was something to see. At least 6 folks saw me come in with that Case and guess pretty good as to what was inside by the fact I was heading to Nokie & Judy's table. The flash bulbs really starting going off as I placed the guitar in Nokie's hands. We had a crowd real quick. To me Nokie & Mosrite & Semie will always be natural to me. A event like this does not happen everyday in this type Venue or Setting.

Love to all

Elaine Frizzell

Elaine I'm glad you are doing okay. I was very worried about you during the flooding.
Cheers,

Elaine,

Ditto on what Aaron already posted, and I was concerned about you with the flooding as well. I have an old lead singer and his wife that now have
moved up there in Brentwood TN, just a few minutes south of Nashville. They are OK, but unfortunately, I did not get a chance to speak to Keith or
his colleagues there at George Gruhn Guitars when the floods came within only blocks of the store, but it's good to hear that you are safe and well.
I also did read that Gruhn's Guitars came out OK with the floods. I hope you did not have any prized possessions stored anywhere down there
in downtown Nashville.....?? :|
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Hi Dennis. Great to hear from you and Sarah and Aaron. No did not have any instruments
in affected areas. We had a lot of Musicians and Artists loose a lot. Millions of dollars, such as Kenny Chesney etc. A lot of session pickers lost also. Many Vintage instruments were lost forever.

Sound Check, where hundreds of instruments were stored in their warehouse were lost.
The offices there of Fender/Gretsch Musical Instrument Corp. and their Artist Dept's offices that support Artist's like myself were flooded and instruments lost forever. 1st Ave stores and
warehouse's are gone. Interior's of these buildings will have to be gutted and rebuilt.
Horrible loses.

i was there the following day to see the opry that following saturday, and my vacation turned into what felt like disaster journalism. I heard the Gaylord had 4 feet of water on the bottom floor. So for seeing this stuff first hand, my heart goes out to the people Nashville so much.
Cheers,

Elaine, those are wonderful pictures of the '63 sidejack but more importantly, of you two pickers with it!!! You certainly succeeded in drawing big smiles from Nokie :P
Thanks
