My computer has been down all day.
I just got it going.
It could crash again anytime. If I disappear, that's what's happening!

I'm considering not even tuning it up and playing it, but taking it straight to my guitar tech to have it gone over, and set up for me. I won't ask it to pose for a full photo session until it's cleaned up quite a bit.

Well, I took it to the man's shop after work today, and as I would have wagered money upon, he was closed! I am sitting at home now doing a lot of rubbing on it.

Very nice 1972 Celebrity-III. This one has a fairly unique paint scheme in that they outlined the F holes in black. I don't think I've seen that before. Cool!...... Would you look to see if there is a label inside the F hole and see if the serial number matches the fretboard? Thanks!

Thanks for the props on the paint. I too, am liking the added burst around the F holes.
Very quickly after unpacking it, I took a dive into the f holes. No stickers are visible.

Your Celebrity looks like its in great shape, Wombat! How does the neck feel to you, What strings are you going to put on your Celebrity and do I see binding on the neck?

For most of my life I've used 9's. In the Eighties, Extra Lite 8's became very popular, but I stuck with my 9's.
Now, heavier strings are all the rage, and I was playing 10's for a few years, but I'm finding myself being called back to the 9's.
I've never been entirely motivated by what's most popular. If I was, I probably wouldn't be wild about Mosrites!

While the guitar was still wrapped in all sorts of packing material, I reached in and closed my left hand around a naked length of neck, and it felt absolutely wonderful!
It seems nice and wide, but very flat and thin. It has a real quality feel to it!

I took my Celebrity to work with me Saturday, planning on dropping it off at the luthier. I guessed correctly! He was closed!
I spent a great deal of time cleaning up Pokie last night, and even more time cleaning her up today. We went outside and took photos this afternoon.

Great pictures, Wombat! I'm confused about the fourth one though, It looks like your Celebrity is levitating. I don't even see the stand in that pic! (Maybe I'm missing something, I'm a bit tired)
