Hello everybody
My name is Mick Casanova (yes, for real), im 18 years old and i live in Atlanta,Georgia. I was first introduced to Mosrites at age 5 when my dad spun his Ventures:Live in Japan 64 vinyl.(which i still listen to on a fairly regular basis) When i started playing guitar at age 14, i'd sadly forgotten about them. Now that ive landed on my style (60s garage/surf/mod/etc) this is one of the guitars that would suit my sound perfectly. Im strictly a Rickenbacker/Gretsch/Epiphone/Mosrite guy. I am in Luthier School at the moment, and i will be moving to australia in a year or two. Im sure we all know Tym's guitars, haha. I hope to be his apprentice, or at least learn something from him. Id love to build my own ventures model.....
. Anyways, ill quit boring you. But it's nice to be here, and im sure ill learn alot from you guys. cheers

Re: Hello everybody
Welcome to the forum, Mick. It would seem that we have some things in common: We're both under 20 years old and we're both interested in Lutherie and Mosrite guitars. Heh. Have you refretted any necks?

I've refretted several guitars, Sometime in the last two weeks I was working on a First Act and it was going great until I decided to put superglue underneath the frets which turned the job into a mess and caused some frets to spring up. I haven't fixed that yet.

Superglue eh? What were you doing before that? I always wet the frets and put wood glue over the top of it
