Have you ever wished The Ventures had done...

Postby Haole Jim » Fri Sep 17, 2010 10:42 pm

In the glory days, The Ventures cut monumental theme albums like "Surfing," "Colorful," "Twist," "Country Classics," "In Space," "Christmas," Latin"....

This long-time Ventures fan / picker has for decades, wished they had done...

"The Ventures Go Polynesian"
"The Ventures Play Lounge Tunes"
"The Ventures' Play the Blues"
"The Ventures' Exotica Album"

Any others you folks wish they had done in the 60s to early 70s?

The Ventures In Space, vol. 2

The Ventures Play Sci-Fi Themes (such as 'Star Trek') would have been quite cool as well. 'My Favorite Martian' would have been a fun one to hear.

"Star Trek"...track #5 (album: NASA 25th. Anniversary", 1983) http://jukebox.au.nu/instromania/instro ... ive_album/
The Ventures' first recording of The Theme from Star Trek was made in 1976 and released on their album "TV Themes" the following year ;)
