Today I did some designing on a (full) hollowbody guitar.
I'm aiming on a recognisable but traditional shape.
Bigsby,bridge and neck for decoration.
Any comments are welcome.

Re: Hollowbody
If you don't want to go to all of the work of designing the mold, etc. Have a look at these archtop bodies. I've heard they are excellent quality. http://www.acme-archtops.com/

Thanks for the link Sarah! Lots of good information there. I'm gonna build it from scratch and now hunting down some suitable veneers.

Re: Hollowbody
The top is out of the mould, its abit to big still but I will take care of that as soon as it is glued to the sides.
The sides are bend out of 3mm mahogany:
Started the backplate mould
I wonder what pups I should use. P90, filtertron or my own mosritisch handwound customs...
Use a tailpiece or a bigsby etc.

I'm a P90's fan myself. I have an archtop "Extreme Makeover" project that is going to receive a three pieced matched set of Kent Armstrong P90's. I can't wait to hear it!

Olav,
Any pictures of the other side of the archtop mold? Did you wet the wood and heat it up or use some other process?

I'll have to relay your question to Oigun there, Mel. He's building this guitar, not me. He's not even building it for me. Oi will be doing some work on a (cheapass) hollow I recently bought. That process might be posted here too if anyone's interested in pix of sanding and repainting and maybe pasting naughty decals on an otherwise pretty bland guitar.
And yes... Oigun and I are two completely different and most seperate individuals. And no... you're not the first to mix us up.
You did make me LOL.
