Finally snagged a '62 AVRI Fender P-Bass!
I've been watching out for one of these on ebay for more than a year now and finally snagged this big boy during the final 30 seconds of it's listing! I'm absolutely stoked and can't wait to get 'er in my hands
. I'm a 6 stringer basically and play a bass now and then just for fun so I'll have to flogg my other P Bass - a black vintage '78 USA Fender CBS to help cover the cost (hopefully more than cover!)
Feast your eyes:

Very very nice, Paul. Great price too!
I am in Bass Fever now too. I prefer J Bass to P Bass because of the neck.

Re: Finally snagged a '62 AVRI Fender P-Bass!
Thanks for your kind comments everyone, I fell in love with this model ever since I bought my first LP (vinyl album, lol) of the Shadows in ...what was it, 1961?...when I was still in High School

For some unknown reason most shops here don't seem to stock the '62 reissue P Bass; and the one shop I did find on the internet sells at more than double of what I paid for mine -and on ebay they were almost always all going for close to the lowest shop price I could find in the US, i.e. $1,449.00 (and I couldn't find a single shop that would ship outside of the US
)
---so I, me and myself thinks I did well, too

Paul! Dude!
Great farking score!
That is one bleep of a beautiful, sex-oozing instrument. 'Thinking you and that bad critter gonna be moving some air around, 'cross the codfish pond. Dig it and give us some thoughts after you pluck some big strings.
