Any pictures of the other side of the archtop mold? Did you wet the wood and heat it up or use some other process?

I'll have to relay your question to Oigun there, Mel. He's building this guitar, not me. He's not even building it for me. Oi will be doing some work on a (cheapass) hollow I recently bought. That process might be posted here too if anyone's interested in pix of sanding and repainting and maybe pasting naughty decals on an otherwise pretty bland guitar.

And yes... Oigun and I are two completely different and most seperate individuals. And no... you're not the first to mix us up.

I'll be ordering GFS' Surf90s for it and either a Bigsby or a Duesenberg vibrato. The guitar is an Ibanez AF75, really nothing to look down on, still nothing special either. It's equipped with humbuckers and I'm just not a humbucking guy. Finished in brown sunburst and seeing I'm not a sunburst kinda fella, it'll probably be covered in semi-nude pinup girl decals. Or airbrushed to have a 'true flame' decor.
All I need to do now is learn to play some mean rockabilly licks. That should be the easy part. Oi will take care of the rest.

Glued the neck/ tailblock and the linings:

I decided that the scale is gonna be 25" and I think I go for P90's. I have a set of toneriders so we'll see

Today I did some tinkering again.
Made the braces so the filtertrons can screw right in:

Bound the f-holes and glued the top.

Stamped the neckblock:

And glued the back.

Had a little feel of the top and back and was amazed by the strength of these thin sheets of wood. Even without bracing they withstand loads of pressure. Thanks for that opportunity Oi!

I've made an accessory to route the bindingchannels.
A drawerguide and some scrapmetal welded together.

It takes some nerves but it worked and I've just glued in the bindings.
