Hi Everyone!
My name is Omar and I'm from Pasadena CA. I own a restaurant in Old Town Pasadena and on my free time I collect rare Japanese guitars. I just got into Mosrites and they are hard to figure out quality-wise due to all the copies and models out there. I'm a big fan of Ornetts PRS, Van Zandts, Scoop, and Seymour Duncan strats. Hope this forum is helpful to me and I hope I can be some help to you.
Regards
Omar

...rare Japanese guitars
....interesting Omar! In that area of the world one is bound to come accross Mosrite; clones, copies, replica's Japanese licenced Mosrites and what have you. The Ventures, of course, contributed in no small way to the introduction of the 'eleki' guitar to Japan and most notably, the Mosrite brand. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum Omar!!
Lots of info on mosrites here. The forum has a search option, but don't be afraid to ask questions. Mosrites are my favorite guitars but I love old Japanese guitars as well. I have a Kawai Splender, and am looking to buy a Teisco Spectrum 5 and a Guyatone Sharp 5 someday. I'm sure you've noticed that the Japanese loved the Ventures and there was a bunch of Mosrite clones and mosrite type guitars manufactured there in the 60s-70s.
I also second the suggestion about posting some pictures of your guitars.
