TNM Adds New Single Neck

Postby TerryTNM » Mon Jan 10, 2011 4:33 pm

Hey all, here’s a shot of my latest effort made for my friend Alan Mills. He asked me to make him a single neck guitar like my small-body black doubleneck, the Buddy Dughi Special. So here’s how it turned out. A departure from my favorite Carvin type pickups, Bob Shade put his super mojo Mosrites into the white shells and surrounds I sent him. It’s a blast to play and sounds terrific. I’m not sure what to compare it to. We’ll have it on display at the Deke Dickerson Geek Fest this coming Saturday.

That is one classy guitar Terry, my compliments!
Is it a semi-hollowbody or solid or...(what type of wood did you use?)

Thanks for the comments. Much appreciated.

It's a hollow body. Maybe not in the true sense, but way more than a semi-hollow. There are no blocks inside. The top and back are 1/4" thick and the rim is about 3/8". I'm not really after the acoustic sound. It's more for weight reduction but the hollow body does add a different dimension to the sound. It's all maple, body and neck.

Great looking guitar as usual do you have any sound clips of it . Actually if you had sound clips of all the guitars you make would be great so we could compare them.

Exactly how I would want it for myself, Terry! Sadly my budget won't allow for a "Terry" or an "Eddy" but I am impressed with the good-as-new Hagstrom Super Swede (made in China) that I snagged off ebay last year, although I must admit that the huge weight of it's solid Mahogany body is it's biggest drawback; it is out of balance and not friendly to my shoulder and back

Now, if you're wanting to swap mine for one of your TNM's, I won't disappoint you by saying "no"! (j/k)

Thank you kindly for the offer but must decline. I'm overstocked on Hagstrom at present ;)
