wow that '64 is incredible! i love the headstock treatment.

There are many who know this better than me, but I think this example comes from a period before mass production featuring a rolled german carve on the lower horn. It has a beautiful clearburst on the back of the neck and is in outstanding shape.

There are several different '64 models depicted between pages 14 and 19 of the Japanese Vintage Mosrite book, that has the same carved lower bout. The one depicted on page 18, with serial #0269 appears to be virtually the same guitars as yours. Also, on page 99, they discuss four different variations of the lower horn bout carve. Problem is, it is written in Japanese.
