Hi all,
I haven't been around for a LONG time, but I think I'll be poking around again. Anyway, here's a video from our gig last Saturday night. I was playing my Mosrite earlier but the trem arm is way too loose and I'll fix it now that I've reread Mel's post from way back(playing a Dipinto in the vid). The song is kinda draggin' in the vid but oh well(drummer needs some caffiene!). The venue is La Mariana, a retro south-seas themed bar/restaturant which Mel knows pretty well. The harbor, docks, and boats just outside the restaurant got trashed in the recent tsunami, but the restaturant was untouched. Anyway we do a monthly surf gig there. Hopefully I'll have a vid playing the Mo' next time.

Hey Byron,
Welcome back to the forum. Cool soothing tune. Is it an original?

Hey Danny....no, I wished I'd written it. It's "Pacifica" by Los Straijackets. I did play the Mosrite early in the set, and it was sounding good, but the trem arm needs to be tightened badly 'cause it kept swinging around towards the butt of the guitar. I referred back to an old post about using plastic from soda 6-packs as shims.

Byron,
Hey, nice to hear from you! Personally I think the tempo is spot on for La Mariana. I'm glad to hear that it wasn't affected directly by the tsunami.
For a hack quick fix on the Mosrite vibrato arm you can wrap some dental floss around underneath the arm. Has the added bonus of making sure your Mossie doesn't get gingivitis.
Regards to the whole Tiki Taboo gang,
Mel

Great tip Mel! I just wrapped some dental floss around the trem post and it works like a charm!
