Re: Venture a Guess ?
As soon as I get everything set up, and make a template I need to find someone to make me a pick guard ????
I can make the selector switch knob but the control knobs are out of reach. Anyone have a set I can cast copies of ????

Re: Venture a Guess ?
Dan, the taping didn't make it to a TV airing. It was part of a special video to be called "Walk, Don't Run" which was produced for viewers of the Rosenberg-Fraker special. A number of notable guest musicians were invited to join in with The Ventures á lá a 'studio-live' performance.panther wrote:Did the Ventures have a Television show at one time. I've seen several clips with the same format, the music almost sounds dubbed in as the drummer is making comments that you can't hear.
After taping the musical performances in 1983, the producers started a long process of adding and editing the documentary material but due to certain (company) circumstances it would take 5 years before Toshiba came to the rescue to finally get it released in 1989 as The Ventures – 30th Anniversary Super Session on VHS and digital Laser Disc *, complete with Japanese subtitles.
[ref. pages 268 and 269 of the book "The Story of The Ventures" by Del Halterman]
* It is currently available on DVD and appears on ebay too, sometimes.

Thanks, I'll be looking for it.
Here is another photo, you may notice I moved the control cavity to the right. Can't do that with wood.

I'm waiting for the tailstop, and pickguard as soon as I get a template made. I'll wire it up see how it works, then disassemble for finish.
