Description: Serial number 103. Formerly owned and used by guitar great, Deke Dickerson with full documentation. This guitar is one of the earliest Bakersfield solidbodies made by hand by Semie Moseley around 1962-1963. The serial number 000 series was for singlenecks and the 100 series was for doublenecks, making this the third solidbody doubleneck Mosrite ever made. Mosrite doublenecks are rare enough, but finding one with the Maphis-style "octave neck" with these early Mosrite appointments is impossible. This particular example has all the same hardware as the first 25 or so Ventures models, including the insanely rare flip-up Vibramute vibrato, of which less than 50 were ever made. Other appointments of the era include handmade pre-logo Semie Moseley pickups, handmade aluminum bridges, binding, side jack, zero fret made of fret wire, and early tan (non-alligator) case.
