I just have to tell you guys about my new baby! I have a LOT of guitars and amps so I made a deal for an even swap of a few things ( no cash ) for a new Gretsch White Falcon with my go to dealer. Should be here in about two weeks.Every time I try to put up a pic with photobucket it gets removed in a few days. So if you would like to see it click below. Also I did not pay the MSRP I have a 6120 and a Country Gent and I thought the Falcon would be a great addition.

Thanks. I've never had anything with Dyna's before.All the Gretsch's I've had were with Filtertron and or Supertron pups. I started to listen to them on YouTube and thought the Dyna's sounded good. Kind of a cross between two styles. Sort of like a Fender single and a P90. Does that sound right?

Oh, yeah! That is my "dream" Gretsch ... Someday I'm gonna pull the trigger on a 6120, or some such thing. The White Falcon would be the epitome for me, though. Congrats! And if it doesn't suit ya, I'm sure one of us will be happy to relieve you of that burden!

Congrats on the new purchase! Dynasonics are a different animal than any of the Gretsch in-house 'tron pickups - they've got much higher output, and to my ear, more mid-range and more twang. They're all good pickups, but personally, dynas are my favorite by far.

I love dynas! I've come close to getting a Falcon a few times but alas I often get sidetracked with other things.

Mel, I wonder if they would make me a Falcon with Three Dyna's ? Now that would be super cool

HAHA! That would be cool but I think with all the looks of the Falcon that might look almost a bit too nuts!
