...and we wonder why businesses are leaving the country in droves for more business-friendly countries with more affordable labor...
Our unprecedented success has freed us to fuss over the minutia of how we do things, to our detriment, and our prosperity has raised our wage expectations beyond what the market will bear...hence that market is leaving our shores, finding more eager workers, and more receptive government regulations in countries like Brazil, India, and China.

Dont forget that Gibsons plants are in right to work states. The current administration is very pro union. In fact one of the most frequent visitors to the white house is a union bigwig. Just something to consider. I was just thinking that if Semie was still with us , and they shut him down like that. Oh brother would we all be mad!

WOW! So much for due process...since 2009 they haven't been able to have a voice in a court of law! Maybe Switch had a real good idea, building guitars out of gel-foam with epoxy finishes...NO WOOD! Oh no, wait...there's probably a pollution issue with disposing of solvents etc...

Re: Busting Gibson Over Ebony Wood
There was a video article last night that showed the hypocrisy of the raid on Gibson. You could not import a piece of raw African Rosewood fingerboard material . . . against the law! But you could import the same fingerboard if it was a finished piece with binding, frets and position markets. It's actually a foreign jobs protection law. Not an endangered species law in many cases.

Yeah, it's pretty "thick" alright. Bean-counters run amok yet again!
