Joe Maphis JM-65
I was lucky enough to become owner of Elaine Frizzells JM-65 Joe Maphis doubleneck serial #6 this past November. As you can probably imagine this piece of history plays and sounds amazing. I plan to post pictures hopefully later tonight. I would like to know if someone knows where I could find a metal switch tip for it (the original one was missing).

Every now and then you can find the switch tips on Ebay. You may also want to see if Artie with Front Porch Music in Bakersfield has them. He goes by "bakeoboy" on this forum. I'm excited to see the pictures.

First thing I found out is that you can't post photos from your hard drive, the photo has to be located on a website such as ImageShack, PhotoBucket, Flickr, and others I'm not aware of. If you have the reasonably-sized photo on one of the above, right-click on the photo, click on Properties at the bottom and you'll see the URL of the photo. Highlight this URL and after you've done so right click on the highlighted field and you'll see "Copy". Click on copy and the URL will be temporarily saved on your "clipboard" (I'm guessing). Then you go to where you want to post the photo and look up above the message box and you'll see the choices. Look for the small box that says Img and click on it. Doing so will place on the message box an open and closed img img with the appropriate open and close symbols surrounding img: Put your cursor in the space in the middle and click on it and your photo URL will appear between them. When you're done click on Preview and if you like what you see, scroll down again until you see Submit and that's all there is to it, it's intuitive.

Can anyone else add whatever I left out, if I did?

Elaine are you out there?
I'd like to have Elaine post some comments about this guitar, how long did she use it,what string guages she used on it etc. Also where could I find a switch tip that would fit? I tried the one off my Hallmark custom 60 and it didnt fit.

What a beautiful doubleneck! But it's kind of hard to read what it says on the back of the headstocks.
Will you tell us what they say Tommy? Thanks in advance!
