Got some sheet metal fabrication done today. First I made the brass plate and then the cap can cover.
I know most of this stuff is pretty boring but the stuff you don't see is the most critical. It won't start looking like an amp until I get down to the woodwork.

Dub, one of the features of the cover was to act as a hold down to keep the caps from vibrating until one of their leads would break from fatigue. They would use a thick rubber weatherstrip glued into the inside of the cover that would press down onto the caps when the cover was screwed down to the chassis.

I don't know if your cover was designed to work this way or not, but you could use some foam pads to act as vibration limiters.

Looks great Danny. How'd you bend the metal of the cap cover? The edges look really crisp. Do you have a metal brake?

Mel, I used my five inch vice to make all the bends.

I'm getting out of order on how I was going to assemble this but while waiting on parts to arrive I have to work on what I can. Plus they still haven't got the faceplate made. It was suppose to be ready yesterday but they haven't sent me the final proof to approve. I guess since I had to pay for it in advance they are in no hurry.

I'm at a complete standstill now as the switches were not shipped with the original order even though the invoice shows they were. I sent them an email and hopefully they'll be sent ASAP.

i am again a little scare about hight tension but i think more and more to made my own reverb cause the ri cost too much in europe near 1000 dollars
and when you see what is inside the price is really hight ,i have already made some floor effect but an amp like you made is at this time too much complicated
if it work when i plug it at the first time ok but if i have to repair
your amp is like the better custom shop relly clean and well wired

Question for you, does the power transformer's 6 volt winding have a center tap? I see the red/yellow wire which I assume is the high voltage ct, but I didn't see a green/yellow.

No it does not have the green yellow center tap. Do you see a problem there? Should that red yellow ct be lifted and capped with a wire nut?
