Mosrite-Style Tuner-Knobs

Postby motiersbad » Wed May 30, 2012 12:48 am

Hello everybody,

does someone know some manufactors, who sell Mosrite-Style Knobs?
I think M3 sells sometimes Mosrite-Style Knobs on eBay for round about 25$. Some more manufactors would be nice to know :)

Some years ago i owned a Yamaha SGV300, they had Mosrite-Style Knobs, too. Does Yamaha sells they?

Best regards
Phil

Phil;
Google search for guitar machine heads. They should come up with several sources and have a wide selection to choose from. I purchased some aftermarket tuners from ebay.

Hi Dan,
the question was for Knobs like Volume-Knob or Tune-Knob or is this the wrong Word in american/english?

Ahhh, it's Volume and Tone (not "Tune") in English. That was the confusion, as "Tuners" are what we call the machines on the headstock to keep the guitar in pitch. No worries though - M3 makes the "spun" knobs, i.e. the ones with the flat top and grooves in the sides. So does Fillmore and Hallmark. The "M" knobs, as used on the later 60s Mosrites are still made by Fillmore, or you can sometimes find vintage originals.

As an aside, as a native English speaker who spent a few years living in a non English speaking environment (Quebec) I have enormous respect for all non native speakers who converse on a level far beyond what I was ever able to accomplish in French. So, Bravo!

This brings to mind the popular joke:
"You can tune a guitar, but can you tuna fish?"

Phil, if that makes any sense to you, my hat's off to you.

Phil;
My apologies, I misunderstood your post not your fault.
Mosrite knobs are very scarce, about $100.00 a set.
