my brother was a very lucky 17 yr old to get an instrument like that back in 1966.

now for a little bit more to the story...

there was a guy that use to come over to our house to borrow my brothers band gear in trade for guitar lessons. he basicly lived in a VW bus and lived on bologna and mustard sandwiches. this was in kent, ohio and he was going to kent state university.

the guy use to sit in the living room with me and teach me songs like tequilla, walk dont run, as well as a bunch of beatles and rolling stones tunes. he's the one that got my dad to take notice that i was picking up his guitar licks like a sponge and my dad should start paying attention to my guitar playing. i was 5-6 yrs old at the time...

ok...i've waited long enough to tell you who this guy was....

JOE WALSH (originally with the "Measles", then the "James Gang", then of course the "Eagles".

he use to teach my brother and me and he loved my brothers mosrite and his sears silvertone and montgomery wards amplifiers.

Wow! Talk about ground breaking. That's amazing. Well, after trying to learn some songs off of your YouTube videos yesterday, I can say your teaching me well!

Thanks,
Eyan

A beautiful guitar indeed. It reminds me of the sparkely green mosrite that greg had in one episode of the brady bunch. Peter got his fingers stuck in the strings. Silly.

Love Joe Walsh, love that guitar. That's an amazing story, and let's hope that guitar stays in the family for decades to come. That guitar is certainly a treasure.

great story and great playing! I do love your videos and you helped me learn Mr.Sandman, I have bookmarked that video!

I have trying to get a red sparkle mosrite, saw one on gbase and thought it would be mine but it has just been sold and no doubt it'll be a while until another sparkle becomes available. That guitar is the bomb!
