M-3 California Mark II Style Pickups

Postby raygun85 » Wed Oct 17, 2012 3:01 pm

Just letting everyone know that the long-awaited Mark II style pickups are finally available for order. The set below is custom set made for a forum member. They're Dual Tones, wound to 11-12K and tapped at 7-8K, fully charged Alnico V magnets, and concealed blade pole-piece for better balance. We can make them the traditional way too, with the magnets flipped up. Enjoy!

Yep, finishing up binding and fretwork on the neck and getting ready to start on binding for the body. The binding channel and body cavities have already been routed. Getting closer to finish! ;)

so, are these wound like a humbucker, you know two magnets wound seperately so one could get two different sounds out of one pup. Like Mels got on his moserite?
