i usually dont like to let soo much excess glue dry on the wood but i was in a hurry at the time. i still should have wiped off the excess, just made more work for myself later on. let that be a lesson to you guys! lol.

using the body of the guitar, I did a rough outline of what I needed to cut out.

the next little challenge was modding the pickup route for the p-90. the dogear type route is slightly wider, and the regular p-90's have a more rounded corner. plus the mounting is completely different on the standard p-90 with means I had to put in filler wood and reroute the cavity.

after gluing in these mahagony inserts, i was ready to glue on the edge piece so I can reroute the corners correctly.
