Hi, my name is Steve and I am in St Louis MO. I own two Mosrite Celbrity Ones, a blonde stereo model (A0794) with tortoise guards and a red burst (A0772) with white guards. I got the blonde one just over a year ago from the grandson of the original owner who had passed away, and instantly loved it. The other I purchased recently at a local vintage guitar shop, and they had gotten it from the original owner, or so they said. Happy to say that both are in great shape and have the original Victoria luggage co. cases. I'm in my early thirties, and my first electric guitar, ca. '93-4, was a heavy metal style with a very thin neck, so the oddly thin and flat neck profile on these guitars feels right to me. I've never quite hit it off with a fatter neck which were more common in the '60s. Here's some pics, any info that anyone on here would like to provide will be much appreciated, so don't hold back. I've not been able to determine what year they were made, but from what I've been told and have seen online, they may have been made in '67 or '68? The blonde is in slightly better shape, and seemingly more rare because I haven't come across much info on a stereo model. There are a few small differences, the blonde has 4 neck bolts and the burst has 3. Blondie has czar style deco-ish tuners, burstie has Klusons, but both seem to be the originals. Also, I just can't help but wonder, since the serial #s are 22 digits apart, if these were part of the same shipment to the St Louis area, or if they found their seperate ways here. Guess we will probably never know. Anyway, let me know what you think, know, or just think you know... Thanks kindly for looking!

The gangster looks so frightening, with his luger in his hand
When he gets home to his children, he's a family man
But when it comes to the nitty-gritty, he can shove in his knife
Yes he really looks quite religious, he's been an outlaw all his life

Thanks! Everything is the same as the regular version with the exeption of the extra switch. I think that its like a channel selector for when in stereo mode, but I'm not positive. When I put the plug in the streo jack only it seems like it switches the channel, like an on off. I have not run both outs at the same time however, so I'm not positive. I hope someone on these forums can provide more info. The blonde is hotter for some reason. Ha, that sounds funny, laughed after I typed it... Seriously tho, any info that folks on this forum can provide is much appreciated.

Thanks! That site definitely has the most thorough info on Celebrities that I've seen. I came across it a while ago when I got the blonde one. I have not, however, found any info on there regarding the stereo model. Also, even though its a cool site, it looks like it was last updated or maintained sometime around mid-late 2010, which is a bit disappointing. It seems that some of the sections were never developed. Cool info though. I'll take what I can get, I suppose.
