The headstock from the fillmore models looks closer to the original small headstock from the mark II slab body. the headstock design from kurokumo looks more like the mark I models with the wider and angled headstock :/

here i made pictures from my slab body neck compared with the fillmore necks and my old kurokumo neck:

If you can please add an original Mark I for comparison purposes (or if you have photos, do the Mark I along with its clones). Very useful post and thanks!

ok. heres the kurokumo headstock (my old one with later added the ventures II model decal) in compare with an original mark I headstock .... they look both very close . i think kurokumo had only one headstock template and used it for his mark I and mark II models :)

Got the guitar and its awesome. Funny thing someone printed the Fillmore ad from their site and put it with the guitar. It actually has the Kurokumo warranty card, sticker and tool! So it is confirmed. You guys know your stuff!

Thanks guys

I just put a Duncan shr-1 hotrails in the bridge and strung it with a set of 10s. Now it really rips, much better than the generic single coil that was in there.

Have you played a Hallmark? Besides, I can't take advice from someone that puts a hotrails in a Mosrite.
