Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a Joe Maphis 6/12 doubleneck. I'm looking for a blue '65 or '66 Ventures model, all orig. I'm in New Jersey. I also need an original or 'repro original' toggle switch.
Thanx

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Bob, I will contact you about the toggle.
I'm trying to upload pix of my JM but no luck- I see the IMG icon in the 'post a reply', but how do you upload a jpeg to a post?

Hi BADABS,
No worries, I tried to post a pic of my doubleneck 6/12 to no avail. I just posted some pics last weekend with no problem but seem to have forgotten the formula since then! I'll try again later today.

Photobucket seems to work well for uploading images. Simply go to photobucket.com

OK- I created a photobucket account...let's see if it works.
I think the guitar's a '67. I was originally looking for a blue Ventures (I saw one as a kid, and thought it was cool). I've been in to Fenders since 1970 tho, but about 8 years ago I got into Joe Maphis & loved his tone. I saw this 6/12..it was so funky-looking and cool. Finish real crazed, yellowed & nicked, cigarette discoloration on 12 neck...this thing was USED.. but just had a perfect re-fretting & neck dressing...plays & sounds beautiful. Tuners are pretty junky though...lots of play in them. I'm used to playing 8's, but I have 9s on the 6-string neck. The 6-string treble pickup is a bit weak, the 12 neck has a newer pickup in it, but...love the guitar.
