The thought comes up about the vintage finishes of these Mosrite guitars; Are there color charts to go by that can be purchased? I'm particularly interested in the finishes for the German Carve Ventures II and Mark V; Red, Blue, Cream, Sunburst. And I think it's better to have some in person because computer monitors combined with lighting in photographs and printers doesn't always get the proper coloring.

Right now, I have no idea. By recollection I did read somewhere on this forum that Semie went somewhere to advise about working with a poly-type finish combined with another type of finish, Gee where did I see it?

Consulted for Rickenbacker. Its mentioned in Tom Wheeler's "American Guitars" book.
