My Mother in Law used to make the wet bottom version. My father in law also ate Red Beet Eggs, Disgusting.
They came from Lancaster, Amish Country.

Yeah I am only about 30 minutes from Lancaster and all food is highly PA Dutch in these parts. Red Beet eggs are solid.
