I have sad news for all Nokie Edwards fans. Nokie recently fell and broke his hip, necessitating surgery to install a replacement. Since the surgery, Nokie has been in good spirits; however, in recent days a serious infection has been sapping his strength. Today I learned that he now has pneumonia, but continues to maintain good spirits.
One of Nokie's all-time favourite songs is "Tears in Heaven" which he plays like the true impressario he is... I intend to play this song for him every day, and would like to suggest that anyone else on this website who can play it instrumentally do so every day. I can't think of a more appropriate way to pray for him.

Update:
Nokie is still in quarantine, with an infection, and pneumonia. The pneumonia is responding to treatment, and they have managed to remove the hip implant and insert a drug cocktail to treat the area sourcing the MRSA/MD40 infection. This is modest progress, but it IS progress. Please continue your prayers...

Nokie remains in hospital, and about all I can say right now is that he's fighting hard. The drug cocktail is not showing signs of progress yet, so treatment continues...
