LOOKING FOR VENTURES CD's...

I have an ongoing hunt for hard-to-find tracks of THE VENTURES' recordings, most of which are not available in stores anymore. :(
If you think you can help me add to my Ventures collection of CD's, CD-R's and DVD's, then please PM me and at the same time let me know how I may help add to your collection... I’d be very grateful.

[edit: also some of the 2009 releases: "The Ventures Play Kayama Yuzo", "50th Anniversary Live", "Play with The Ventures (Vol. 1)" and "Play with The Ventures (Vol. 2)"]
Thanks!

I would love to hear Live in Tokyo 68. It would be great if they were playing Combos thru Mosrite Amps but I doubt it. I am also dying to know the song list.

Only the back cover of the Live '68 LP shows what appear to be sunburst Mosrite Celebrity guitars/bass being played. Amps are NOT Mosrite amps. You can see the Fender F on one of them but doesn't look like any Fender I'm familiar with and the rest of the name doesn't look like "ender".

Back photo is b/w. Only front cover is color but the boys are facing away from the camera.

I think I played this once just to hear it. It's collectable to have it, but the Live 71 w/Gerry on lead is far superior in every way.

I have the 72-78 LP, there was no live 79, then Superlive 80.

77, 78, 80 were never released on CD to my knowledge.

I know something about all of these so feel free to ask any/all questions.

Hey wstagner, thanks for your interest and response.
Those Ventures live albums certainly have something additional that studio recordings don't have -the spontaneity, ad-hoc creativity, excitement, yeah and even sometimes a mistake or two! NOBODY is perfect, thank goodness.
I have the '71 w/Gerry (playing a LP? and Bob on a 'Beatles' bass), really cool. As you can conclude from my wants list update, I have managed to get the '68 concert and some others too on cd-r since my initial posting, thanks to a fellow forum member!

Too bad some of the concerts have not been released on cd; I'd like to hear them one day after someone with the vinyls has transferred them to cd-r.

I'll get back to you if I have a question but also feel free to ask me anything I might possibly be able to help you with ;)

Paul

I generally prefer live recordings compared to studio recordings, which can be too perfect and boring.
Our band records live....mistakes and all.
