Re: Change of plans
I have all the painting finished. Now waiting to buff. I have already started the sanding and will finish with 1500 in a few weeks. Sanding some at the start opens up the paint and helps it cure a bit faster. Here are some pics as it sets right now.

The neck is not bolted on, I just wanted a pic with it on. I have a black pick guard to match the binding, standard Telly pickups.measuring 6.2 neck and 6.7 bridge. Not sure how close they are to fender specks but I am hoping they sound good. Time will tell.

Re: Change of plans
Yes it has the burl ash top and was made by the same company. I did use some Magic Maple Stock Stain to help bring out the grain just a bit and also add just a hint of brown color to it. The body is made of bass wood and looks good also finished the same way. After I have everything working I am going to look at what to upgrade to make it better if it needs it. I am very impressed with the quality of everything I got. The body was almost ready to finish and the neck (although not what I am using here) is straight and has a good fret job. I plan to finish the rosewood neck and have both to try at some time.

Re: Change of plans
Just a few pic's of everything together. I have to buff it out in a couple of weeks but I now have it setup to play and I am liking it so far. The back isn't anything special but I kinda like it.

Re: Change of plans
Super nice Tele ... That grain pops! And the black binding is the crowning touch.
