after cutting the basic shape of the body, I then taped down the template and recut the side of the body with a flush trim bit and my router. since the cove bit i need to use to cut the german carve has a guide on it to follow the edge of the body, it's important that the outter edge of the body is smooth as possible before proceeding.

at first i used a smaller cove bit. i was a bit nervous doing this, it was the first german carve I've ever tried. more pics to come.

cutting and shaping the neck. sorry about the incorrect dating on the pictures.

doing more shaping on the guitar body. the glue on the edge was just used as a filler when the router chipped the wood a wee bit. I also began cutting the neck joint and the control cavity. more room then I needed, but i figured I'd route a little more for weight relief.

i finally switched up to the larger cove bit to route the german carve.

using my original mosrite as a guide I then marked the fret slots on the fingerboard.
