That is really cool Kevin, welcome to your wife. My wife reads a lot on this forum also. She doesn't post but when there is something interesting she'll come in and read about it. She backs my additiction 100%. Just ask Mel or Vincent.

That's why we have to keep this a 'family forum'. ;)

Yes we are lucky to have you Gals around! I gotta chime in here too...Veronica (Ronnie) has been putting up with my 'nonsense' for 20 plus years :o . She first started picking up little 'tid bits' of info reading a little here and there about guitars. She's now gotten to the point where she's pointing things out to me that I might have overlooked when possibly purchasing a Vintage Piece  .
10 years ago, She calls me at work and tells me that there is some guy selling a '65 Jazzmaster for $150 in the local 'Flyer' Magazine down here in South Florida (Trent will know which one this is ;)). Naturally I laugh it off and tell her "Honey, that's just a Typo in the add, it should of said $1,500." Well, chalk one up for the Women in our lives  ! She FOLLOWS THROUGH and calls the guy, and he says "Yes, I'm selling for $150.00. Veronica calls me back, and says "Fake a toothache, get out of there, and pull $150 out of the bank...Now! So after leaving work early that day with a 'toothache' and stopping by the Bank, I went to this guys house. The guy had a REAL '65 JAZZMASTER for $150!!! After THOROUGHLY looking the guitar over (which he let me pop the neck as long as I put it back together again), he finally told me his story. The guitar belonged to his Uncle who passed away a few months earlier. He showed me a pic of his Uncle playing it in some group that he was in at the time. His Uncle had bought it used in '67 or '68 for $150 back then. Well, this guy doesn't play guitar, as well as the rest of his family and he figured it's got to be worth at least still $150. I would of given him more knowing what it was worth, but I also didn't need to be a Rocket Scientist to figure out that this guy was selling it only to buy "stuff for the nose  ." So I figured, why give him more money to buy more 'stuff' when it's just 'going to go up in smoke' anyways. So I gave him the $150, and high tailed out of there. THIS BTW, was the '65 Jazzmaster that I sold a few years ago for $2,500 (and they have DOUBLED AGAIN!). I had a LOVE/HATE relationship w/that guitar. It was beautiful, but had such a typical Jazzmaster (mellow) tone to it, no matter how I tried to EQ it. Anyways I sort of 'drifted' off the Subject at hand......The MORAL to MY STORY Here is I had passed this Whole Thing off as a Typo in the add in the paper. If it had not been for Veronica (all her close friends call her 'Ronnie') "FOLLOWING THROUGH," somebody else would of been laughing at home with a '65 JAZZMASTER.....so Guys, when the Woman in your Life speaks to you........LISTEN!!! ;)
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Emilys' support level splits 50/50. she really enjoys when I play in the living room but when I go out to the shed to work on a project she ask "you're not going to be out there long are you". But I love her and she has to love me to put up with my b.s.
