Wow, it has a Moseley vibrato too. Now I wonder how many of those there are. Too bad that one is from MainStreet's "Sold" Gallery.

dorkrockrecords--that pic from Main St. Music looks just like the second 350 that Dean got in back in '74, except that Dean's didn't have the vibrato. And my memory is faulty (well, it was 35 years ago!)--because after seeing your pic, I remembered that it only had one push-switch instead of two like I posted earlier, and I think it was a phase switch.

interesting that this guitar has the tremolo system but still no roller saddles.

I've a '66 reissue MIJ Ranger ... with the slot-top saddles . Reading Tym's site on Mosrite History it seems these kind
of saddles turn up on a few different models from the late sixties onwards as a low cost alternative to the rollers.

It doesn't seem to cause any problems tuning wise, I've had no string breaks at the saddles . The whole bridge rocks nicely
back and forth with the tremolo action.

I had been thinking that I might transplant a roller saddle bridge , but to get one from
the japanese store that sold the guitar was going to cost £120 or so and i've seen comparable ones on ebay for around $60 to $85.
So on the principle of if it aint broke don't fix it .. I've decided to keep the saddles as they are. At least for the moment since I'm still
learning to use a guitar with a vibrato unit.

Yes everything is wobbled at the moment .. Overkill, hopefully leading to something more subtle later :-)

My '66 Mark V has the same non-roller vibrato system, and other than maybe filing a bur here and there...no problems...Zamm Inc. has some Japanese ones but the screw holes need boring to fit...

the first bridges that I'm aware of that used these type saddles were the 1965 ventures 2 model (slab body) I just find it interesting the different options available on mosrites, because it's not very well known (at least to me) what were all the options offered by Semie back in the day. Cool stuff :D

beauty axe you got there aaron! i too just recently acquired a 350 and am going through a similar love affair with it. it is black and i'm curious if there were many black ones made? i haven't seen to many but that doesn't really say much... anyway, i posted pix on the ebay/craigslist page if anyone is interested in this thread to check out there (since there was another thread started about that guitar specifically back in june...) anyway, viva la 350. viva la mosrite!

I think the most popular colors of these were the natural and the black. as least that's from what I recall seeing in the past. I believe the pic shown with the mosely tremolo is the first one I've seen of these in red, and I can't remember any other color i've seen these in in any regular basis. If anybody has some of these models in other colors, boy I sure would love to see them :D
