Rare Mosrite?

I was wondering if anybody could help me out with the year and model of this guitar. My father bought the guitar off of Semie when he came through town. Thanx guys i look forward to your comments.

Looks like an early 70s Celebrity to me, Seeing the sunburst headstock and humbucker pickups. There were three general types of the Celebrity though, I'm not sure of all of the differences but I think only one had a tremolo.

Well, I'm guessing....but she looks like a 70s (with the Switchcraft pushbutton Bypass/Phase Switching System), but the
the individual V&T Controls are suggesting 80s Era.....Is there a Serial Number on the Instrument (last fret, etc)?.....

Not rare, but definitely early '70s, probably around '72. Those are the generic "Radio Shack" knobs that often show up on Mosrites of the same era like Bluesbenders and Fuzzrites. You can tell by the logo on the headstock as well that it is from this period and definitely not the '80s.

There is a serial on the freetboard. I do know this was one of the guitars Semie was playing on the tour..

Adam, very interesting observation....

That's what had me confused....I never saw any individual V&T control Knobs until the 80's, and by then the Switchcraft Pushbutton switches
were gone as far as I know (Bypass or Phase switching, depending how it was wired) were gone. PLEASE let me know if this Info is incorrect.

Thanks for sharing pictures of this great guitar. Is it the picture, or is the bridge angled? Aren't they typically perpendicular to the strings?

The bridge is at an angle. On another note the guitar sounds amazing and plays amazing.. Im tryin to get the guitar documented so if anyone could help me out , that would be great..

I beleave that Semie built this guitar to his own specs..

It's a really nice instrument and I have no doubt that it came from Semie, but it is a production instrument and I see nothing custom about it. What exactly are you hoping to document?
