Ventures Bass Scale Length?

hey does anyone know what was the ventures bass scale length? my univox is a short scale bass, but the mosrites look longer in pics

Although mine is not a Ventures model, it's a '72 with a 30 1/4" scale length.

thanks Dub, my guess is all mosrite basses had the same scale length. can anyone back that up?

There were at least some Celebrity basses with a 24.5 inch scale, same as the guitar! Someone here had one briefly if I recall correctly.

They were all short scale.

How the heck do you tune down that far and not have the strings as loose as...you know, something old and loose?

Heavier strings.
