Re: What it's worth
How about some more information and maybe a picture or two of the salient areas?

Looks like you're missing a few parts of the IMG code.

Re: What it's worth
Do you know what the original color was?
Looks like a great project that will look good when refinished. I looked through my Mosrite pics, to verify before posting,
I've never seen a Natural finished headstock with a white logo before. All the natural headstocks I have seen or have photos of, had black logos. I've only seen white logos on colored/darker headstocks. Anyone see a white logo on natural headstock before?? Just curious
Well the white logo is not too surprising, knowing how Semie would and could change things up during production. Gonna be a Nice guitar when its finished!
Are you asking for its value for insurance reasons or are you interested in selling? If interested in selling, PM me. I been thinking about tackling an mosrite project guitar.
Wish I could help in determining its value, but I'm a relative newbie when it comes to judging a guitars condition and value. I do know, that from a collectors standpoint that Vibramutes are generally more valuable then Moseley vibrato versions. Also a refinished guitar or a guitar needing to be refinished is worth significantly less than one with its original finish. Strange, but from what I've seen, an average weathered and checkered finish with assorted nicks chips and bumps in the finish is worth more than a spotless shiny refinished. So originality in all things especially the finish seem to be a very important factor driving value. What I use to see as an old well used guitar, is now described as a vintage antiqued, with well aged patina. They are even taking new reissue guitars and artificially aging them to look old and well worn. Relic-ed I think they call it. Frankly I just want a great playing vibramute.
Good luck with your project guitar. I'm sure with all the knowledge on this forum, a few of the "pros" here can give you a good idea what its value is, in it's current condition.

Yes, there are several 1964 Ventures models in the Vintage Mosrite book, all in solid colors. The guitar appears to be of '64 vintage as well.

Thanks Danny, I figured there must be others.
Hey gdbrr1
Here is the same model vibramute with a refinish that was just sold a week or so ago by a dealer in your neck of the woods, Wisconsin. It has a screw-on coverplate, so its a 1964 as well, though they listed it as a 1966. Pretty original except for the refinish, check it out. Sold for $2000. here is the link.
