Identifying my Mosrite

Postby tonedawg » Wed Apr 14, 2010 8:31 pm

Can someone tell me what year and other details they might have about my Mosrite? The number on the neck is V0726. I'm pretty sure it's a Mark I.

Hi, Welcome to the forum. With Mosrites you can't really tell the guitar just by the serial number, its best to ID it by its features as Mosrite changed them from year to year. For example, 1967 Mark Is have a truss rod cover at the headstock. So if you can upload a picture we'd be able to ID the year it was made too.

1966 Ventures II (German Carved, B670.)
1970s "Not a Blues Bender" Bodies: 2.
1976 Brass Rail Deluxe #10.
2013 Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI.

Pickups are a good clue too (look at colour of the body, embossed text, colour of the resin on the back) along with date codes on the pots of some Mosrites.

I feel really lame, when I use this forum. I can't figure out to load pictures, or how to delete my first topic. Is there a place to go in this forum with simple instructions on how to use this forum. I write Excel programs all the time and I use Word and Access every day. But I just go in circles in this forum.
