Hey,
My name's Jerry, I'm a longtime Texas guy recently moved out here to Virginia and headed to the Nashville area next.
I am mainly a honky tonk Telecaster player but I've been finding out how popular Mosrites were with the Bakersfield crew like Gene Moles. I got my eye on a good Mosrite knockoff one of these days -- I'm thinking I'm gonna go with a Wilson Brothers Ventures model.
Anyway...hola y'all!

Welcome. Information on sales of Mosrites is regularly documented here, along with comments on the quality of the guitar being sold. I'm sure you will find this helpful.

Re: Hola Y'all
Welcome to the forum. I'd hold out for the real deal.
If you can't do that, have a look at the Hallmarks. Great guitar.

Re: Hola Y'all
Thanks y'all! I will definitely keep coming back.
I've tried the Eastwood knockoffs and the Univox Hi-Flyer, which made me say "meh."
Haven't tried a Hallmark yet. I also see that Aria is making a cheapo Mosrite clone...tried one and was not impressed at all.

Welcome to the forum. I can agree about the cheap Mosrite copies and the like, They just don't have the same sound. I haven't played any Hallmarks but I hear they get in the neighborhood tone wise. I did buy a Ventures II Third Generation model (Early Mark V model) And even though I haven't restored it (It doesn't have any pickups) I can tell it has the sound.

Welcome, Jerry! You will find all the info you need to make an informed decision on any Mosrite-type instrument from the folks on the forum. If you can hold out for an original MO, it will be well worth it ...
